An intimate evening of sound, nourishment, and connection - space to step away from the pace of everyday life, settle into yourself, and spend time in community with one another.
We’ll begin gathering around 4:30pm and wrap up around 8:30pm.
There are just 10 of us on this journey together - 8 travelers and two pilots (Sound Practitioner Meri Sulcer and Space Setter MK Byrne). We’ll begin downstairs with light bites—warm bone broth, bread, fruit, and a few simple snacks—as everyone arrives. Water and tea will be provided, but you may like to have your own water bottle to stay hydrated. We’ll leave our shoes downstairs, so bring socks if you’d like your feet covered. Please come in clothing that feels good to relax and lie down in.
From there, we’ll head upstairs and settle in for a 75-minute immersive sound bath accompanied by a visual experience.
The sound can be powerful and, in the acoustics of a smaller room, very stimulating at times. Please arrive completely sober; prior intoxication of any kind is not compatible with the experience. During the sound journey you are always welcome to change position, sit up, shake it out, or step out for a moment. Whatever your body needs.
Your place will be prepared with plenty of creature comforts: a supportive mattress, pillows, a blanket, bolster, and a soft towel to cover your eyes. You’re also very welcome to bring your own eye mask or anything else that helps you feel especially comfortable and at ease.

Come comfortable. Come curious. Come as you are.
Leave filled up.
SENSORY ACCESSIBILITY NOTES: To keep the space accessible to all sensory experiences and sensitivities, we’ll be using unscented candles and all soaps on-site are fragrance-free. We ask that everyone arrive as low-fragrance as possible and refrain from bringing strong essential oils. We do use a small amount of wood smoke to clear the energy of the space, but can use an alternative if preferred by anyone.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY: Due to the historic nature of the building, there is unfortunately no elevator or lift available. The sound space will be on the second floor, requiring a walk up a flight of stairs. The bathroom is a bit small and not handicap accessible.
After the sound bath, we’ll gather over a nourishing dinner of soup, salad, braised meats, and breads. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary needs or preferences we can care for.
Dinner is simply time to linger a little longer with one another, but more profoundly a way we weave community just by being together. We’ll offer a few conversation topic invitations—not to make the evening feel too structured, but to help us move beyond the usual social shorthand and into some of the deeper, more interesting places we don’t always have time to reach.
There is nothing to prepare and nothing you need to bring other than yourself (cozy socks, water bottle, and any other personal props optional).
The intention for the evening is simple: to create enough comfort, time, and space to listen inwardly, to be curious about one another, and to experience the kind of connection that can emerge when we slow down together.
community vocal toning
Your voice is the most powerful tool for calm you carry with you everywhere. Community Vocal Toning Meditation is where you get to use it. Together in supportive community, we hum and tone to reconnect with that tool. Think of it like a sound bath from within. It's been said to be even more powerful, because we're using our own voices to turn our bodies into instruments of vibrational self-healing from the inside out. In just a few minutes, vocal toning melts stress and gets you regulated. A few minutes longer, and it reliably drops us into a deep meditative state and a lasting sense of peace you can carryout the door with you.
Rooted in improvised harmony, sometimes called a harmonic choir, everyone is welcomed into the circle to hum, tone, and settle into deep listening. No music or singing experience is needed to get all the benefits. There's no music to learn, no lyrics to memorize, and nothing to perform. Just a willingness to explore.
A Tone Circle™ Community Vocal Toning Meditation, led by Meri Sulcer, Certified Tone Circle™ Facilitator.
about meri
Meri Sulcer is a certified sound practitioner, Tone Circle™ facilitator, and founder of Grounded Sound Healing. A lifelong lover of music and sound, Meri first experienced the power of vocal harmonics through singing and a cappella, discovering how the human voice can create connection, resonance, and a profound sense of belonging. Her work weaves together vocal toning, crystal alchemy singing bowls, gong, breath, mindfulness, and meditation. Each session is a thoughtfully crafted experience designed to invite self-exploration, encourage deep relaxation, and create space for meaningful personal growth and connection.
Trained through Tone Circle Seattle, Seattle Sound Temple, and The Sound Healer’s Academy, Meri brings a gentle, grounded, and inclusive approach to her work. She creates welcoming spaces where people are invited to participate in the way that feels right for them—whether that means receiving sound, exploring their own voice, or simply listening and resting. Fluent in both English and American Sign Language, Meri is passionate about creating accessible experiences where people can come as they are.
